Toys and a Show
The Frelin family of Anchorage puts out for the community, and in a big way. This year, their 4th annual holiday display continues to draws crowds and donations. Located at 3740 Amber Bay Loop (, this residence provides a bigger than life holiday display. There are lights, and animated decorations set to radio holiday music (FM 99.9).
The real opportunity that the Frelin family provides is a chance to give back to the community while appreciating their HUGE holiday effort. They have a Toys-for-Tots drop off box on their property. 100% of the items and cash donated go to making the holidays special for a local Alaskan family. They request new unwrapped toys! Last year they collected 1800 toys and $780 in cash. That is a lot of kiddo smiles on Christmas morning!
The "show" runs from Mon - Thur from 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM and Fri - Sun from 5:00 PM - 11:00 PM until January 4th. Their gracious neighbors put up with the traffic and noise, but please be respectful and drive carefully as this is a neighborhood with children! On the final weekend prior to Christmas, they get about 2000 cars a night, so go now and beat the crowds.
