Palin has created Alaska Blog Frenzy

The Anchorage Daily News reported this morning that, suddenly, Alaskan blogs are getting more hits than ever. I can attest to that in this forum as well. These newly popular blogs are both pro- and anti-Palin. If you just can't get enough of her, then check out some of these sites that were listed by the paper.

Anti-Palin Blogs: www.divasblueoasis.com, www.andrewhalcro.com, http://kodiakkonfidential.commhttp://progressivealaska.blogspot.com, http://mudflats.wordpress.com, www.ownthesidewalk.com,

Pro-Palin Blogs: http://scribbit.blogspot.com/, http://thenextright.com/blogs/matt-moon

It is interesting to me in this right-wing state that there are more "anti" blogs listed in the paper than "pro" ones. My favorite quote in one of the blogs listed above (I think it was in kodiakkonfidential) was: "Jesus was a community organizer, Pontius Pilate was a Governor."

It's actually not unusual at all, the majority of those who have blogs (in my three years of experience) are more liberal than conservative just as among journalists there are more with liberal views than conservative. Plus, these are only the blogs that Julia O'Malley selected for her article so you're getting her filter on things as well--and I'm pretty certain she's not for Palin either.

Pilate was an urbane and educated professional. Jesus was a working-class Galilean redneck born in a barn.
