Don't Miss "Ladies Night at the Range"
Goodness, I do love Alaska! Where else do you consistently have events like "Ladies Night at the Range?" This real shoot 'em up event is on Tuesday night (January 1st), when most everything else will be closed for the day. That is JUST the time to pick up a firearm and join the guys and gals at the Matanuska Valley Sportsmen Shooting Range in Palmer, (just one hour North of Anchorage) at mile 38.5 on the Glenn Highway. Think of all of the fun you will miss if you don't go! Sometimes, when you see an event like this one, you just have to try it out... just to say you did! They will be shooting percussion firearms.
