Modern Dwellers Chocolate Lounge
A local chocolate lounge opened in mid-town Anchorage this year. I don't drink coffee, so I've never been a "go to Starbucks" kind of gal, but a friend took me to this place called the Modern Dwellers Chocolate Lounge and I will never be able to drive by the Old Seward Highway and 36th street again without drooling. This is bad news for my diet. DRINKABLE CHOCOLATE! And it's dark, rich and (if you want it to be) spicy! It is a great gift shop if you have a chocoholic friend like me with all kinds of gourmet truffles and chocolate bars that have some very interesting ingredients. (Curry??? Gotta try it!) They also have some neato art and other girt type items for sale. The lounge area is comfy and welcoming. This would be a great place to take a client (they have espresso too) for a casual, upscale, unique, and quiet one-on-one. You'll have to stop by here and see it for yourself. The address is 751 East 36th Avenue. It's in the strip mall right next to Quizno's.
