Snowing Golf Balls in Alaska
We had the perfect snow about a month ago. It was light and fluffy and deep, at least 12 inches. We were sledding and Nordic Skiing. And THEN the warm weather came. Last year it was -15 (F). This year it has been in the 30's (F). It has been just a few degrees above freezing for weeks now... even getting into the 40's (F) on some days. It was warm enough that rained instead of snowing and all of our beautiful snow in Anchorage washed away. I was beginning to despair over my Christmas winter scene. But today it is snowing golf balls! It is still a little too warm, so it is a heavy wet snow, but at least it is snow and white and pretty.
