Alaska Zoo's Military "Thank You"
Service Men and Women are invited to come to the Alaska Zoo and enjoy a stroll through the grounds "on the house" on Saturday, December 8th. The Alaska Zoo has arranged this special day, available to all members of the military (with ID) and their families, as a super "thank you" for all of the help provided in moving Maggie the Elephant to her new home at an elephant sanctuary in California. The zoo is open from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM and will still be open to the public (with admission) on this day. Come and wonder, along with me, how that moose can get his head off the ground with that giant rack of his!
