BailaCuba presents Fiesta Cubana & Latina, Sept 19 to 21
Despite having only 5 million inhabitants on our island, there is a huge number who are avid fans of Cuban and Latin music, only because both are similarly energetic, sensual and captivating.
The popularity warrants its celebration, which is why there will be a Fiesta Cubana & Latina at the Concert Hall of the Singapore Conference Hall on the weekend of Friday September 19 to Sunday September 21.
The showcase of salsa, cha cha cha, bolero, mambo and Latin music will be presented by BailaCuba, a performance company from Cuba comprising 11 dancers, seven musicians and four singers.
Fiesta Latina happens on Saturday September 20 at 12.30pm and 8.15pm, where Latin dance and music such as salsa, samba, tango, regueton and merengue will be performed.
Fiesta Cubana on Friday September 19 at 8.15pm and on Sunday September 21 at 7.15pm, will be kicked off with music from Buena Vista Social Club followed by dances ranging from salsa to traditional Danzon and even Cuban cabaret.
