Eye On Malaysia

If you have never visited Malaysia or have yet to hear the term "Eye On Malaysia", I would like to encourage you to read on and find out what Malaysia has to offer you.

In conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2007, a giant ferris wheel called "Eye on Malaysia" was launched by Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on January 6, 2007 at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur.

The first to be installed in South East Asia, it is 60m in height and has 42 gondolas, all fully air conditioned for a comfortable ride. A full circle ride takes approximately 12 minutes and each gondola can accommodate up to 8 people. It also has 2 specially designed handicap friendly gondolas. The technology used to build the structure comes from Switzerland and has been tested rigorously for safety. As the ferris wheel rotates, one can see the beautiful scenery of modern Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. The renowned landmarks that can be seen from the gondolas are Petronas Twin Towers and Kuala Lumpur Tower. Its location beside the lake makes it an attraction not to be missed for every visitor to Malaysia.

If you are in Malaysia, make it a point to take the ride. I am sure you will not regret it. It is open to the public daily from 10am to 10pm until Dec 31 2007. The entrance fee is:

 Adult: RM15 (Approximately USD 4.30)
Children, senior citizens and the disabled: RM8 (Approximately USD 2.30)

For those who are not familiar with the local language:

Taman is the Malay Language for Garden

Tasik is the Malay Language for Lake
