Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS): A Good Place to Explore and Learn about Flora and Fauna

I did my first Wild Flower Walk with BNHS in June in 2004. In few hours walk, I learned a number of new plant names and their features. Since then, I have been participating in its weekend trips for exploring bird and plant life of the city and surrounding areas. BNHS is a good place to learn about plants and birds because groups are not very big and well trained and interactive guides are quite knowledgeable.

today we were lucky to see Storks at powai lake- most likely open billed. we've been living in powai for 8 years and this is the first time to our knowledge that we've seen storks (20 at least). it is worth a visit for bird watchers. would appreciate more on this from experts
