Shivaji Park: A Popular Hangout
Shivaji Park overlooking Mayor's Bungalow in Dadar is a popular hangout of the city. And it is abuzz with activities through out the day. In the morning and evening, health conscious people exercise, jog and / or walk around and inside the park. Within green boundary of the park, earth is almost bare. You can watch several teams practicing simultaneously their favorite sport and pastime, cricket.
During election season, special arrangements are made for political rallies. Leaders of all major parties address the public to woo voters. This cultural hub hosts many public festivals like Duesshra and different types of exhibitions and melas. Even religious leaders stop here to deliver sermons.
