Every year the German government chooses a city for the BUGA (Bundesgartenschau) gardening event. The chosen city receives large sums of money in order to spruce up an area and transform it into a flourishing garden/park for generations to come.
Berlin was chosen way back in 1985 for the BUGA. With the money the city created ...

OM. Ommm. It's a fun word and an exotic restaurant experience that you shouldn't miss.
OM Restaurant/Cafe´& Bar serves up generous helpings of Nepalese and Indian Highland cuisine in a beautifully decorated environment. The waitstaff is fun & friendly, which is an oddity in Berlin. OM is consistently rated as one of Berlin's best restaurants/cafe´s, yet it is still somewhat ...

Have you always been a fan of Kung Fu films, been interested in Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Buddhist meditation, or learning about traditional Shaolin weaponry? There are two aquariums in Berlin: The good one and the slightly sad one.
If you're looking for a feel good, aquarium experience check out the Sea Life Aquarium and Aqua Dom located near Alexanderplatz on Spandauer Strasse. There are lots of tanks at waist level, making it ideal for kids, although I saw plenty of adults grinning from ...

For me, one of the best things about Berlin is the many small, hidden, unique places that there are to discover. This grungy, artsy, funky, and popular cafe-bar is the heart, mind and soul of one of the more unusual and historic venues in Berlin. Squatters saved the building (Tacheles) from demolition and turned it into an alternative arts center. Today people pay a simbolic rent to live there. The building houses three bars, a cinema, a beer garden (summer only), a sculpture gallery, and a work shop. Cafe´Zapata, which has ...
