BalkanBeats in Berlin's Famous Mudd Club - Dancing in Mitte
Every other Saturday night you can check out the best in Balkan music and experience eastern/southeastern European club culture right in Berlin's Mitte.
"BalkanBeats" (DJ Rob Soko) & DJ Marko present BalkanBeats at Mitte's Mudd Cub (sister of the Manhattan Mudd Club) every other Saturday starting at 11:00pm. The club is located near S-bahnhof Hakesher Markt on Große Hamburgerstr. 17. Entry price is 6 Euros.
You'll get to hear an interesting blend of traditional Serbian/Bosnian/Croatian/Montenegran (a.k.a. former Yugoslavia) music that has over the years evolved, and now blends with it pop, schlagger, and punk tunes from throughout the Balkan region.
East European clubs tend to have a lot more dancing in large circles with happy clapping and cheering; it's fun, much more social and you're face will hurt from laughing and smiling so much. Wear whatever you want because no one really cares here....it's all about the music and the fact that Yugoslavia still exists on this peaceful dance floor.
P.S......Almost everyone speaks English here, so it's easy to meet people.
