Located in Jardins, Obá is a delightful respite from the usual Brazilian fare of meat with rice and beans. Its cuisine is a fusion of several countries and cultures including Mexican, Thai, and Brazilian. The walls are decorated with Mexican folk art and large travel photos that are changed every so often. It's the perfect place for a date or a gathering of friends.
Some menu highlights include: To start out with, try ...

I love the Padaria, which is the Brazilian bakery combined with bar, cafe, restaurant and shop. One of my favourite things is to go and sit at the bar and eat ‘pão na chapa’, (bread on the grill with butter) drink coffee and a freshly made fruit juice. This is a good breakfast, but later in the day you can get all kinds of hot food, beer, and other beverages ...

Nas festas juninas de São Paulo são servidas comidas típicas caipiras que levam ingredientes como o milho e o amendoim. As bebidas preferidas são o quentão (ver receita) e o vinho quente - nada melhor ...

The Memorial da América Latina (Latin America Memorial) is a huge space in São Paulo dedicated to culture, history, and learning. Located near the Barra Funda subway station, one of the end stations of the red line, the Memorial is able to provide nearly everyone with something to see or do.
The Memorial is a place where Brazil´s Latin American roots and relations are studied, serving as a point ...

This past Sunday, June 3, marked the 13th annual Sao Paulo Marathon. Jacquiline Jerotich Chebor and Reuben Chepkwek, both Kenyan, were the winners. I was a little disappointed at the lack of women in the race and I'm hoping to encourage more to join in next year. The course gives you a nice taste of the city, starting and ending right outside Ibirapuera park at the Obelisk and taking you ...

If your in or coming to Brazil, why not take the chance to learn the language, I’m sure a few words will go a long way and help you with the time you spend here. The more my Portuguese improves the richer my experiences are in this huge city. There are plenty of schools in Sao Paulo and some of the schools will be able to offer an ...
