Obá, a journey to Mexico and beyond

Located in Jardins, Obá is a delightful respite from the usual Brazilian fare of meat with rice and beans.  Its cuisine is a fusion of several countries and cultures including Mexican, Thai, and Brazilian.  The walls are decorated with Mexican folk art and large travel photos that are changed every so often.  It's the perfect place for a date or a gathering of friends.

Some menu highlights include: To start out with, try the risotto balls wrapped in eggplant and accompanied by a delightful pesto dipping sauce, or the excellent guacamole; as far as main courses go there is such a wide range of options, the pad thai is very well done but if you're feeling more adventurous try the fish wrapped in banana leaf and cooked with coconut milk and curry sauce, or one the many moquecas (a Brazilian seafood stew); round out your meal with some tapioca with banana and cinnamon or ice cream covered in an espresso sauce.  All in all, it will be a meal to remember.
