Taiko é um instrumento de percussão inventado no Japão e hoje disseminado pelo mundo, inclusive São Paulo. É feito artesanalmente de madeira e couro, e antigamente era usado nas ocasiões de festas e guerras.

Em São Paulo, é muito comum encontrar escolas e eventos com shows de taiko, praticado por pessoas de todas as idades e de todas as origens.

Foi um grande sucesso o 42o. Festival de Dança e Música Japonesa de São Paulo! O evento aconteceu nos dias 23 e 24 de junho e reuniu mais de mil pessoas, que fizeram doações para a Campanha do Agasalho.
