Nicky O. South Beach and a few ghostly treats
Nicky Hilton is bringing high fashion to faucets in her new Nicky O. South Beach hotel. Nicky O. South Beach is teaming up with Brizo Faucets to complete the look and feel this new boutique hotel wants to bring to Ocean Drive. The Brizo Faucets promise innovative bath and shower designs and state-of-the art technology and craftsmanship. Some of the Brizo Products to be featured in the Nicky O. South Beach hotel are the Loki powder room faucet and Brizo custom shower systems.
The faucets look really nice; it would be interesting to see how the rest of the rooms turn out. Obviously they will be just as classy...like the news tickers in the lobby. That being said I wouldn't mind staying in such a clean, comfortable hotel.
Speaking of clean comfortable hotels, I was surfing the web and found an interesting hotel review for the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Fond Du Lac Wisconsin.
Let me start out by saying it's a great Ramada with clean rooms, and friendly staff. However, in the middle of the night, I heard the sound of someone pulling covers off the other bed. I looked at the other bed in my room, and saw the outline of a head resting on the pillow. I put my hand on it, and it was ICE cold. 30 minutes later, I am woken up again with the sound of footsteps by the bathroom. I get up, and find no one. But wait there's more, I also heard the sound of water from the sink in the bathroom. I got up, and could not find any faucet running. At that point, I just asked whoever was there to please let me have some rest. And the ghost(s) must have been listening, because after that I slept fine. Give it a chance! If you love spacious, haunted hotels, this is for you!!!
After doing some digging I found 5 or 6 people with very similar experiences at this hotel. Apparently the founder of the hotel haunts the Ramada Plaza Hotel along with several other ghosts, and the underground tunnels used by Chicago gangsters to make their escapes ended in the hotel's basement.
This is a hotel I would seriously like to visit!
