Here is the Westin Bayshore Vancouver’s round lap pool - a stone’s throw from the ocean in Coal Harbour.
Make sure to swim a few circular laps before summer’s end since this particular pool’s shape will be a circle no longer after an extensive Hotel landscape renovation.
Word is that Barry Sternlicht (head of Starwood Capital which owns the Bayshore) can’t stand circular pools. How ‘come Barry?

The Pan Pacific, one only of two 5-Star hotels in Vancouver and winner of the “closest hotel to the cruise ship terminal” award shows off a wonderful view of the Burrard Inlet and North Shore mountains.
This action-packed hotel property hosts many airline crews and countless groups from around the world. The hotel feels a bit sterile in the sense that the lobby atrium and public areas are so large, sprawling and open that it is hard to get a sense of intimacy or personality. The Pan’s F&B outlets, however, are well known to deliver a quality experience.
