Resort Hotel Pools

A swimming pool on the gulf coast of Florida. I photoshopped all the people off the beach and everything else they left behind except one plastic cut and straw. This was the first in the series of three.
Second in the series this photograph shows a contrating background to photograph #01. Being a roof top pool in Dallas, Texas the beautiful ocean of the first photo has been replace by skyscrapers.
The third shot in my swiming pool series it shows a bit more sky than photograph #02. This is a roof top swimming pool in Las Vegas and will soon be torn down for an expansion of Freemont Street.

One of my favourite pix that I took in Greece. The hedonistic lifestyle illustrated completely here. The pool belongs to the Hotel Loukas where I stayed.
Why are all those words like “sybarite”, “halcyon”, “hedonist”, Greek I wonder?

We are always thrilled to receive emails from our viewers featuring first-hand hotel swimming pool experiences.
Travel writer Jay Hammond sent this sweet pool image from the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Pheonix, Arizona..along with his thoughts on the Resort.
Thanks Jay.
Going with the flow is easy at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa. The sinuous pool winds its way through a series of patios and desert landscaping. Guests can drift along in inner tubes and rafts or lounge along the route in comfortable chaise lounges. Occasional fountains arching over the pool help keep drifters cool. Poolside beverage service does the same for those on land. It’s a wonderful way to pass the day!

The two pools were excellent, and the hot tub on the island was very pleasant. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and accomodating. The La Gravitas restaurant was outstanding, as good or better than any of the highly rated restaurants in town. The lobby bar with live guitar music every evening, overlooking the pools and the ocean was great. (2 for 1 drinks from 6-8 pm). Embarcadero bar/loung also very good, with a good bar menu…[TripAdvisor]

Morocco is a dazzling travel experience full of exotic delights and warm hospitality. The next time you are visiting the ancient souk markets in Marrakech, check out these steamy pools at the world-renouned Amanjena Hotel.
Since Paul Rodwell and his wife, Noemi took over the day-to-day management of Amenjena, standards have soared. It always was the best place to stay in the Palmerai, just 15 mins from the centre, but now it is even better, as the level of personal service is exceptional.
OK, you pay the highest dollar to stay here, but that’s OK as long as it is worth it, and believe me, Amanjena is worth every penny. I especially recommend the newish pool pavilions, as these are exceptional suites with a massive amount of exterior space, including large private pools, solarium areas and, at the front, little round fountains and glorious curtained daybeds overlooking the ‘bassin’ - the natural lake that centres the resort…[TripAdvisor]

Las Vegas hotels are experts at creating high drama for entertainment value throughout their facilities. At the Golden Nugget Las Vegas guests can literally swim with the sharks. Well, at least they can slide through a plastic pipe that cuts through a shark tank…which is close enough!
The new swimming pool at the Nugget surrounds a shark tank. That tube in the middle of the shark tank is a water slide. How cool is that?

A view of the back of the Omni Hotel & Villas we stayed at in Cancun. I took this shot around 8 AM one morning. Cancun was wonderful. I ate so much, there, everyday!

This was at the nicest hotel in Solo. I didn’t even order that burger and I already want my money back.

…The best part is the water park. It only has two real slides, but it’s a ton of fun. They also have a sea water pool that has a ton of fish. You snorkel through it and it’s like being in a big fish tank. People even can look through windows at you. The beach is not all that great because it is so shallow and you have to have something on your feet. This place is perfect for families and the staff is so much fun….[TripAdvisor]

snuck into the hotel next door to use this
We don’t advocate hotel “funny business” here at HotelSplash.com, but if you’re in Krabi, Thailand and this is the resort pool next to your hotel…Whoa! That would be be hard to resist.

The hotel staff were very accomodating and friendly. They had good food and a wonderful view of the ocean. Check-in was quick and hassle-free. The rooms were well kept. The view from my room was just incredible. The next time I go to Guam, I will not have second thoughts checking in this hotel again…[TripAdvisor]

Edgeless pool at Hong Kong’s Four Seasons Hotel.
Hong Kong is an incredible city, and Four Seasons is an incredible hotel brand. Hong Kong’s Four Seasons Hotel captures the essence of calm luxuriousness in their outdoor pool paradise.
Given the praise that this hotel has been received both in these pages and those of CNTraveller and Travel and Leisure, our expectations could have let us in for at least a minor disappointment. Instead we had one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had anywhere…[TripAdvisor]

Corfu’s name is connected to two powerful water symbols: Poseidon god of the sea and Asopos an important Greek mainland river. According to myth Poseidon fell in love with the beautiful nymph Korkyra, daughter of Asopos and river nymph Metope, and abducted her, as was the custom among gods of that era - Zeus himself was a serial offender. Poseidon brought her to the hitherto unnamed island and, being in marital bliss, offered her name to the place. Together they had a child they called Phaiax after whom the inhabitants of the island were named: Phaiakes, that was then transliterated via Latin to Phaeacians.
This myth, with its themes of romance between a powerful god and a beautiful nymph, with a trace of adventure, centred around the element of water, is suggestive of the special ambience of the place…[Wikipedia]
