While many hotel brands are perfecting the “white” look for their guest room sleep systems (aka beds), upscale Hong Kong based Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has clearly embraced bold contrasts in their colour pallet of choice.
San Francisco’s swish Mandarin Oriental property showcases the dramatic bed look above, complete with a pyramid centre piece reminiscent of Egyptian sensibilities. We suspect that the East-meets-West design theme flows from the very top of the organization.
The hotel group’s Chief Executive, Edouard Ettedgui, is widely known in the hotel trade to epitomize the international leader. Schooled in Paris, he has managed businesses in Morocco, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Peru, London and Hong Kong. Ettedgui’s global experiences are helping Mandarin Oriental grow faster than any other hotel brand.
