York House Hotel Bed, Portugal

We are suckers for arsty/sexy hotel bed images here at HotelBedHQ.com. This interesting image was taken in room 401 at the York House Hotel in Lisboa, Portugal.

..Travelers say they want charm and atmosphere in a hotel. In Europe it is very easy to find and the York House is certainly full of these and more. One should not choose to stay in a 17th Century Convent and expect ALL of the amenities one would find in a superior grade major US city Hotel. It will never happen…this ain’t no Sheraton!!![more]

Color it Bangkok - Reflections Hotel

The room is filled with sexy figurative paintings. Even the shower has a painting of a bra, hanging from the wall. This reminds me so much of Kiko Escora - a Filipino artist.

Hotel Bed View on Rivington, NYC

How’s this for a sweet view from your bed?

We’ve had several favorite hotels in NYC, but the Hotel on Rivington beats all. We recently returned from a long weekend, and have nothing but praise.

For those of you who enjoy details:

It was pouring rain when we arrived, and Noel the valet was quick to take our car keys and help Lester the bellman with our luggage. It was 11:00 in the morning, and our large corner room was not yet ready, but another person at the front desk said “we have an even better room, on a higher floor (19), that’s available now.” I made sure it had all my requirements – no smoking, king-sized bed, corner room, same rate. Yes, yes, yes, yes. So we were able to check in to our absolutely GORGEOUS room several hours early. The view was spectacular, bright, airy, very clean.

Even though I was born & raised in NYC, I’ve never seen a view like this. We were way up in the sky! [more]

White Bed in the Ecstasy Room at the Hotel Fox

ROOM INFO: Spacing out. Interact describes his room designs as being “like a flip book in motion”. He was interested in “feeling the space” rather than just coming up with paintings for the walls.

ARTIST INFO: WK interact – France: The French-born artist WK interact has lived in NYC for the last 15 years and has decorated whole tracts of the city’s SoHo district with his dynamic and energetic imagery.

But his black and white speeding figures simply do not allow themselves to be tied down to one place: they are permanently on the move; pushing, stumbling and running through the sprawling metropolis.

Japanese Garden Room at the Hotel Fox, Copenhagen

ROOM INFO: “…This room is my own interpretation of traditional Japan seen with a modern western eye. I wanted to give a sense of freshness, a contemporary young design style, but minimal and peaceful as in the Japan of the past….”

Simone Legno, aka tokidoki, was born and grew up in Rome and now lives in L.A. It is not hard to see from his illustrations that he is a big fan of all things Japanese and has got the sexy girl imagery down to a “T”.

Can’t Sleep In at Denver’s Only Boutique Hotel

Hotel Teatro occupies a building originally built in 1911 as the Denver Tramway Building. This site was the first location of the Evans Mansion, home of John Evans, Colorado’s second territorial governor.

“…I stayed at this hotel and thought they did a pretty good job. However there are two things the traveller should consider. One, my room was quite small with just enough room to move to bed and a small desk.

But most surprising the hotel had no blackout curtains on the windows making it impossible to sleep after dawn. They may have corrected this omission, as I stayed there some time ago but I suggest you ask to assure some sleep in the morning…[more]

Beer in Bed at the Jupiter Hotel

We love hotel bed images here at HotelBedHQ.com - and here’s a British guest enjoying theirs at the Jupiter Hotel in Portland, Oregon. We’re not so worried about beer in bed…that’s up to you.

We are, however, interested in your Union Jack blanket: most folks just bring their favourite teddy bear or a photo of their loved ones when they’re on the road!

“…Despite marketing themselves as hip and cool, this motel’s counter-buzz and the real word on the street is that it’s a pretentious and lousy motel in reality. My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night and hated it…[more]“

Hotel Monaco Bed - San Francisco

Hotel Monaco Bed, originally uploaded by jdr3k.

“…Rooms are standard small size for the city, but with attractive and fun decor. Wine and cheese were even nicer with the Chair massages and cozy fireplace. Beds were very comfortable and Aveda amenities will keep me coming back. Restaurant was moderate to pricey for brunch, but worth it for the great food and convenient location. Lots of pillows and towels in room and a nice fitness center with roomy indoor jacuzzi and steam rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful (ask for a goldfish in your room if you go!)…[TripAdvisor]“

Hotel 57 Bed - NYC

bed, originally uploaded by slange70.

Hotel room at Hotel 57 for the G Love show in Central Park. Nice digs.

“…I reserved a Deluxe King, and when I opened the door, I felt like I had walked into a closet with a bed. I know NY hotel rooms can be small, but this was not going to work for us. I went downstairs to ask what my options were as far as a refund if we wanted to leave, and they upgraded us to a Junior Suite. Very nice of them. FYI, the Junior Suite is almost the size of a standard hotel room. The bathrooms are modern and not too tiny, but no bathtub in the Junior Suite (the Deluxe King had one)….[TripAdvisor]”
