New Years run



Every year there is a running race throughout Zurich old town. Approx 16,000 runners are expected to participate this year.

The race has different categories ranging from advanced to families with children and students
With the weather turning icy cold last week, let's hope it warms up a little on Dec 14th. from 1.4 to 9.8 km. There is also another race on New Years Eve

Radish lanterns



every autumn, swiss children carve out radishes into little lanterns and they go out into their villages in the evening, singing and parading their "lanterns"

Only the performing of a Civil Wedding held at a registry office is legally recognised under Swiss law.
If you want a church wedding,  you need to get married before in a registry and then you can have your church ceremony.
