twentynine
Weather permitting, Scott and I usually take a daily walk. Yesterday was no exception. We started by walking through the Spui and down towards dam square, stopping at places we found interesting and finding ideas for places we would like to try in the future.
We stopped at a little bar near the red light district called Twentynine. The bars of this area usually consist of near full occupancy and generally are all men. Twentynine, on the other hand, seemed like a quaint little place with comfy couches and was almost empty.
We sat down and waited for the woman behind the bar to take our order. She acknowledged us while doing dishes, but was in no hurry to come over.
We finally ordered our drinks and sat admiring the cozy atmosphere when over the speakers came a familiar voice. It was Chucky- that doll from the horror movie Child's Play that runs around killing people. We turned to see our server watching it on the big screen, laughing whenever something horrible happened.
We decided this was the perfect time to make our exit; this place was weird.
