Very funkey shop in Amsterdam

Last weekend I had another international visitor!!!  Well, to be perfectly honest my friend is from Belgium, does that count? It is after all just 2.5 hours away on the fast Thalys train.  Anyway I don't know how but SOMEHOW we ended up on the Kalverstraat, it's the main shopping street in Amsterdam.  img_4782.jpgIt's a long long street with mostly chain stores, such as ...

Queen's day pictures

Where the Bagels are...in Amsterdam.

Now imagine my exhilliration when one morning I was running to work (yep running late on my first day!) and practically ran into a BAGEL SHOP! Seriously, it is situated in the corner of Stromarkt and Singel really close ...

Peruvian Restaurant in Amsterdam

casaperu.jpgOne of the great things about Amsterdam is that it's a very international city. You can see it on the happy faces shopping up a storm on Kalverstraat (Amsterdam's central shopping street) and you can definitely see it in the city's cuisine!

The other day my honey and I went for a nice romantic dinner among the lovely canals to a.... Peruvian restaurant. ...
