The Czech Inn- A great night out.

Formerly Isolde's towers, this centrally located pub-club is often overlooked amidst the crass atmosphere of the over-hyped Temple Bar. It offers a late bar and D.J seven nights a week playing a mixture of chart favourites with some classic 70's and 80's,  drummers play upstairs on the weekend.  The crowd is unpretentious and laid back, with a large Polish presence and the usual smattering of Irish regulars. The door policy is not overly strict, allowing creativity with dress. Admission is free making it an ideal place to start or end your evening.

Essex Gate, Temple Bar, dublin 2.

Hiya,
just one thing, Czech Inn is a Czech Pub - so not many Polish there!!! Please correct that. Polish and Czech they don't have the best relationship, so neither of these will appreciate your comment. Thanks

Oh really Nora? Only Czech people drink in the Czech Inn? I find this little nugget of information very hard to digest as in my seven years of drinking here I am yet to meet one Czech person. This is in stark contrast to the twenty or so Polish people I would talk to on a nightly basis.
Do you ever go here? Do you live in Dublin? Do you have a clue what you are talking about?
In your embarrassing attempt to paint me as a racist you have only highlighted your own inadequacies. You say that "Polish and Czech they don't have the best relationship." This wouldn't be a generalisation by any chance, would it? What marvellous position have you been given that gives you the authority to speak for almost 50,000,000 people?
I write what I see, so I wont be changing my blog to fit in with your repulsive notion of like with like. Its 2007 Nora, move on.

get over it. the two countries have always got on fine. Stupid uneducated people like you are the ones that cause wars. The bar itself is bizarre. Used to be a gay bar. Good if you want to look at yourself while dancing in front of a mirror.

Hi all,
I'm a Czech girl, not very happy to read what Nora wrote here, it gives a bad impression :( Not going to Czech Inn very often, but had been there for several times, and personally, I was always happy to meet there different nationalities, not only Czech or Slovak people, it is a public place and it's open to everyone! Having lots of Polish friends myself over here, so I definitely don't agree with the Nora's note we don't have a good relation. Please, feel free and welcome anybody who's coming to Czech Inn! ;)
