Shakespeare and Company is a bookaphiles dream come true. Thousands of books, old and new and crammed into book shelves. The store was opened in 1951 by an American, George Whitman, who found himself in Paris after World War 2. Not wanting to return home he studied at the Sorbonne. After amassing a collection of English books he opened the store.
The store is a cozy chaotic mess of books. Everywhere you ...

For all the chocolate lovers here is a fun contest I found on the internet. Visit www.chocolateandcroissants.blogspot.com. Culinate is sponsoring a chocolate contest. Entrants have the chance of winning a trip for two to Napa's Chocolate Festival. Being the month of love and chocolate that sounds delicious.

How many jars of Nutella do you think there are in France? Many would be my answer-but how many who knows. As I wrote earlier every crepe stand has jars of Nutella on standby to make delicious crepes.
Do your part and help celebrate World Nutella Day by eating some Nutella.
World Nutella Day is in its second year of delightful celebrations. Thought of by three women in Italy Bleeding Espresso and ...

Are you ready to come out and walk from the 20th district to the City Hall in the 4th district, led by a cow limousine, trumpeters and many eclectic musians? Started in 1274 this parade also known as Promenade de Bouef Grande (procession of the fatty cow) will be making lots of noise as it marches through the streets of Paris. Where else can you do the walk of the fatty ...

After many months of speculation and hoping for an address on Les Champs Elysee Apple will finally have a spot.

Paris stores have sales twice a year. For reasons unknown to me the sales are regulated by the government.
Their winter sales started on January 9th and will continue until February 16th. While the euro may be strong against the US dollar this is your time to get out there and find some sales. Â

Hopefully Sarkovy is more candid and forthright about his political agenda than his lovelife. Sarkovy made no secret that he would keep his nuptials secret. Who knows if he is married.
Can you imagine being 50 plus, being president of France and having photographers stalk you as you do the walk of shame out of your girlfriend's apartment.
Congratulations is he is married.
