Imagine yourself in a wide-open grassy field- you are surrounded by palm fronds, a pond, and the calls of peacocks off in the distance. Now imagine yourself in close proximity to a Parisian metro station that will take you to the center of the city in twenty minutes. It may seem a jarring difference of location but you can actually have the best of both worlds in the Bois de ...

Are you ready to come out and walk from the 20th district to the City Hall in the 4th district, led by a cow limousine, trumpeters and many eclectic musians? Started in 1274 this parade also known as Promenade de Bouef Grande (procession of the fatty cow) will be making lots of noise as it marches through the streets of Paris. Where else can you do the walk of the fatty ...

If you have never witnessed this or participated in it Friday night fever is an event to be seen. The rides start at 10 p.m. at Place Raoul Dautry in the 14th arrondissement of Paris between the Montparnasse office tower and the Paris-Montparnasse train station.

I have just received a notice from Air France airlines that they are having special inclusive airfare and hotel packages to Paris for Valentine's Day.
Paris is the city of lights and love. While I have never done the Air France packages before I have taken advantage ...

I have never been fortunate enough to spend Christmas eve in Paris. One day I will and I know already how I would spend the evening. I would go to service at Notre Dame Cathedral. Outside the cathedral stands the Christmas tree all lit up.
Inside there is a nativity scene, honoring the birth of Christ. I can hear the organ playing music that would echo down the aisles of Notre ...

While the Seine may tempt visitors with it's majestic panoramas and sunset boat rides, the Canal Saint Martin in the tenth arrondissement offers an equally interesting view of a lesser known side of Paris. This picturesque waterway stretches three miles from the north-eastern corner of the city to rue Faubourg du Temple, near République. For a pleasant afternoon stroll, head down rue de la Grange aux Belles at the exit ...

France has long been a hot spot for jazz artists, be they world-renown stars or aspiring hopefuls. You'll find jazz clubs scattered throughout Paris, but the Saint Germain area boasts several unique addresses in one neighborhood. A particularly inviting one is Le Tennessee Jazz Club, nestled at the end of rue Mazet near metro Odéon. This unassuming bar offers one of the most convivial atmospheres for taking in ...

This luxe department store goes above and beyond to give customers the royal treatment from the moment they walk in. Translators, guest lounges - Japanese tourists get their own - a deluxe grocery and even private weekly fashion shows make clear that this is no ordinary mall. But by far my most favorite luxury is the domed ceiling, a resplendant ...

As usual, every first sunday of each month, you get free entry to the main museums of Paris; The Louvre, Centre Pompidou, and Musee d'Orsay.
This month I took the opportunity to go to Musee d'Orsay after at least 6 months from the last time I went there. This place used to be a train station until it was turned into what it is today. The place ...
