Almost French by Sarah Turnbull
Sarah I not sure if you are still living in Paris. However I just finsihed your book and envy your endeavor in becoming Almost French. To live in Paris is my all time dream.
For those of you thinking of visiting the City of Lights "Almost French" is a wonderful story of an Aussie who meets a Frenchman and starts living in Paris. While enjoying cups of cappucino and croissants, Sarah sheds many tears as she tries to understand why French women are unfriendly towards her. She learns along the way that it is not here, but there fear of competition and anything foreign is considered competition.
As time passes she undertands the French nuances and begins to master the language. She starts to appreciate fashion and acquires a Westie that she is proud to stroll the streets of Paris with.
To all the Sarahs in the world. You never know what adventure is waiting for you. What are a few spilt tears along the way? Sometimes we have to cry to be able to appreciate our situation.
