Hotel Esmeralda on the Left Bank
Finding a hotel in any major city is always a challenge. Finding a reasonably priced hotel in Paris is a major challenge. Hotel Esmeralda has been around for ages. It's claim to fame is probably that Vogue Magazine puts it's employees up here for Fashion Week. I stumbled upon the hotel years ago when I was backpacking through Europe. I am not suggesting that it is a backpackers hotel by any stretch.
The location of the hotel cannot be beaten, it is close by to Notre Dame. Rooms run about $100. The hotel is decorated in antiques. If you want to save some money you can opt for a shared bathroom.
Some of the rooms have views of Notre Dame. Where else in Paris can you get a room with a view for $100?
