Metro Strike In Paris
Today is the first day of a French national pastime, striking!!! The French are fantastic at striking-I would not be surprised if they invented the concept. Madame Currie and Napoleon plotted together in a lab in Corsica and from a test tube came the concept of the strike. The strike will effect the metro, RER and SNCF lines. It starts today and should end by Sunday.
Given it is the start of the Beaujolais Festival, the workers can partake in the festivities and not worry about showing up on the job drunk.
All I ask is please be over by next Saturday when I arrive in Paris.
