Bird Market, Marche de Oiseux
Paris is home to markets. Every day of the week there is a neighborhood market selling the most delightful items. One of the more interesting markets is the Bird Market which is held Sunday mornings on the Ile St.-Louis across from the police headquarters. Hundreds of brightly colored birds are displayed in their cages.
For the serious orthoniologist there are many accessories to be had for the birds. Looking at the accessories that can decorate the birds cage is almost as fun as checking out the birds themselves. Given the size of Paris apartments, birds are the perfect pet as they occupy little space.
