Sunday of Free Entry
As usual, every first sunday of each month, you get free entry to the main museums of Paris; The Louvre, Centre Pompidou, and Musee d'Orsay.
This month I took the opportunity to go to Musee d'Orsay after at least 6 months from the last time I went there. This place used to be a train station until it was turned into what it is today. The place is still as striking as ever, many many tourists and locals as it is free but the size of the place and the beauty of the art pieces there make massed humanity strangely bearable.
I, however, arrived fashionably late at around 5 pm not knowing that the museum closes at 6 and not 7. So after a little bit of Thomas COUTURE's Romains de la Decadence (Romans during the decadence) , which is in the first hall, we were horded off...
Thank god I'd seen most of the pieces there already otherwise I wouldn't have forgiven myself.
Next time I'll be up with the birds. I promise.
