Paris Je t'Aime.
As if I didn't love this city enough already. This movie really hits the spot. A collaborattion of 18 directors telling us 18 stories of 18 arrondisements (districts) of Paris- there were plans to make 20 stories to match the 20 arrondisements of the city but 2 plans failed to integrate into the whole picture.
As each district in Paris has its own character, each short film grab the neighbourhood's personality to build love stories around, from romantic teenage love between two religions in the 5th arrondisement where there is the Muslim Grande Mosquee, the gay love in the Marais, to the surrealist love between vampire and human near Madeleine. But my favourite and funniest story of all is the last one, about an American expat's love of the city itself.
It is not a bad idea to take the scenes in the movie as a tour guide when you come to Paris- like what they did with Da Vinci Code, etc.
The movie was released in 2006 so you may find it in DVD version.

So,, prepare to fall in love with Paris 18 times...
