Le Christine
This unassuming gem in an old Parisian house on tiny rue Christine in Saint-Germain offers delightful French fare with service and decor to match. While the seabass for two is renowned, the other fish (try the scorpion) and meats (the lamb is succulent) are just as delicious and come with hearty sides (risotto, asparagus and artichoke, potatos). The creamy lentil soup topped with fois gras looks like a frothy coffee drink but tastes exquisite. On a recent night, diners received complementary olive flavored whipped cream to start the meal.
Le Christine is located at 1 rue Christine and is nearest to the Odeon and Saint-Michel metro stations. Most main dishes cost 24 euros. A main plus an appetizer or dessert totals 32 euros; order one of each and pay 38.
