Cour du Commerce Saint-Andre
This hidden pedestrian thoroughfare is a fun detour from the paved narrow streets of Saint-Germain, where cars and tourists vie for space. The uneven cobblestones of this walkway betray its history. Indeed, this is one of the few covered (at least partially) pedestrian shopping streets left in Paris.
Outdoor dining nooks and some residential buldings are tucked away here amidst the Irish pubs, French bistros, a Catalonian cultural center and a Tex-Mex restaurant.
Visitors can also shop for perfumes, tchotchkes and old French toys. A doctor's office offers pedicures.
To get here, take the metro to Odeon or Mabillon. Enjoy!
