Chez Chirac.

After handing over the reins of government yesterday, Jacques Chirac ceded the limelight to President Sarkozy and slipped into his cozy new digs at 3 Quai Voltaire, a Seine-side apartment building where the seventh arrondissement meets the sixth. Chirac, 74, has not lived in his own home since 1974, when he was first elected prime minister and moved into the official residence at Hotel Matignon. He subsequently lived at the Hotel de Ville during his 18-year tenure as mayor of Paris, and moved to the Elysee in 1995 when he was elected president.

Not bad, even on a rainy day. As this writer lives just three minutes by foot from the former president, she can't help but wonder, "Should I stop by with a Bundt?"
