Cafe Marly

Situated in the Richelieu Wing of the Louvre Museum overlooking the IM Pei's glass Pyramid, Cafe Marly is the place to see and be seen. It is one of those wonders run by the Costes Brothers, owner of the uber chic restaurant George on the top of the Centre George Pompidou, the Hotel Costes, and many other darlings of the Paris Haute Societe and international jet-setters.

You may choose to enjoy a cup of coffee after a long stroll in the Louvre or a romantic tete-a-tete dinner surrounded by plush decor and a interior view on the marvellous sculptors in the evening. The food is a very good value for the price regarding quality and ambience which is the Costes brothers' greatest forte. That doesn't count the "Beautiful People" who frequent the place.

Since the first time I had dinner there, I find myself dining at this divine cafe over and over again that I fear I might end up in a routine life I had had in Bangkok, going always to the same places every day.

But when it comes to the Cafe Marly, a routine is much more desirable.
