Bercy Village
This former wine warehouse just north of the Seine in the east of Paris has been revamped into a charming thoroughfare boasting authentic trolley tracks and cobblestones. Its restaurants, shops and cinema are flanked by beautiful parks and a burgeoning yuppie community. On weekends, marching bands and brass instrumentalists decked in chefs' attire take to the streets much to the delight of children (and the young at heart), while parents partake in free wine tastings and other treats. To get to Bercy Village, take the speedy metro #14 to Cour Saint-Emilion.
