Square du Vert Galant
The Square du Vert Galant is a hidden treasure on the western tip of the Ile de la Cite. This beautiful spot is on the end of the Pont Neuf, the oldest bridge in Paris. You'll find steps behind King Henri IV's statue that lead you down to a pretty, secluded oasis.
The Square du Vert Galant, which was King Henri's nickname (due to his reputation as a ladies man), juts rights out into the Seine. When you enter this small and intimate park you'll know you have found your own slice of paradise. Shady trees, lush green lawns begging for a picnic basket, and plenty of benches to watch the boats go by.
This is a delightully romantic pace to spend some with someone special and when you visit this calm and peaceful square, you will realise once again how unique and wonderful Paris is.
