Chez Juliette- A Neighborhood Favorite

If you suceed in deciphering the menu at Chez Juiliette you will be justly rewarded. Located in a wonderfully neighborhoody neighborhood between Sacre Coeur/Montmartre and The Grands Boulevards, Chez Juliette (42 rue de Rochechouart m° Cadet or Anvers) is an inviting and comfortable dinner spot. Tables are well organized into nooks which are fortified with walls of deliciously old books padded with houseplants and other flora, making it easy to settle in and not notice what is going on around you. It is not rare for a diner at Chez Juliette to rise from the table after finishing their meal and be met with the shock of realizing the entire restaurant has filled up in the span of time they've been there, and that these growing crowds had gone completely unnoticed. The only jarring experience that could take place at Juliette's place is when the server presents you with their blackboard menu. The menu is split into two sides, one with items included in your "prix fixe" menu, the other side made up of dishes priced separately. It can be tempting to want to order from both sides of the menu, and my advice to you is to give in to temptation- you will be happy with what you get and everything is reasonably priced, so don't let yourself be dissuaded by the rules of the "prix fixe." Also, when you're Chez Juliette, you can count on the friendly staff to get you through the process of ordering as well as suggesting a good wine to accompagny your final decision, so you can enjoy the rest of your stay.
