Paris - A City Like No Other!
Paris is truly a City like no other. It offers something for everyone from toddlers to great-granny and everyone in between. New York has its towering skyscrapers, London its quaint Brick townhomes and Venice has its romantic waterways but Paris is well - simply beautiful! Its bustles during the day and literally sparkles at night. The buildings scale and design are superb, everything flows. Yes, the streets can be a tangled maze - I often think a few of the original city planners indulged in a little too much French wine....
But just when you recover from your first sight of the Eiffel Tower and walk on there you find the bright golden dome of Invalides, a spectacular building that houses Napoleon's tomb. Across the Seine the Egyptian obelisk in the center of the Place De La Concorde stands guard amid the frantic, circling traffic. No matter where you look another magnificent building, famous monument or world class museum beckons.
I fell in love with Paris on my first visit over ten years ago and moved here after I fell in love with a Parisien. I want to share all the treasure trove of interesting, funny and exciting facts about the City of Lights that hopefully, will inspire you to visit and have the time of your life in this fantastic place I call home.
