Alternative Fashion Week

The activities really never stop in London. After the hangover headaches caused by St Patty's Day weekend, it's time to immerse yourself in new fashions and trends at Swatch Alternative Fashion Week 2007.

This year Alternative Fashion Week happily returns to its birthplace at Old Spitalfields Market after a year away in the Truman Brewery, mingling with the trendy, 20-something crowds.

This week-long fashion gala is fantabulous fun, featuring outfits too outlandish even for Milan with categories like fetishwear and fantasywear. Not to mention a fair number of designers whose garments are suitable for the street and *gasp* affordable too.

The event is traditionally packed to bursting point with London’s models who want to make it big. This means some wonderful people-watching opportunities. Bright young designers and quirky models will be showing off innovative fashions - some bordering on mainstream, some utterly off the charts.

Forget the insipid media circus of London Fashion Week, if you enjoy fashion and want to stay ahead of the pack, this event is the place to be. You will be supporting new talent at this unpretentious fashion show, and also be able to make donations towards the AIDS charity Terrence Higgins Trust.

When: 19th march to 23rd March 2007
Cost: Free
Venue: Old Spitalfields Market, Brushfield Street, Tower Hamlets, London, E1
Closest Tube Station: Liverpool Street

See you there!
x, Celine
