Camouflage

This past weekend, I had a couple of visitors come to London. This was cause for celebration and lots of fun. With that intention, we head out on Friday night to a club. Wandering around Soho, we stumbled upon a club called Camouflage.

Camouflage plays a mixture of hiphop, rnb, funk and pop - mostly UK mainstream. While the DJ was acceptable, he was not stunning with his transitions. The friendly crowd consisted of youngsters (18 to 25) dressed to impress, or deter, whichever way you like to take it. The venue is cosy with is underground igloo feel but was, on this night, spacious and bare as they sealed off more than a couple of sections for VIPs. Seating space was thus very limited.

We arrived at around 11:30pm and stayed on til close at around 3:30am. The dance floor (and club) only started filling up at around 1:30 am.

My take: It wasn't really worth the 10pound cover we paid, and the 8.50 for mixers and 3.50 for beers. Although quite a few people did manage to hook up, if that's what you're looking for.
