I am just finishing up packing for my trip back to Prince Edward County, Ontario. Seems to me I'm missing the boat with regards to some exciting musical experiences because I scheduled my trip so awkwardly.
For the first, I heard that the Canadian loved Tragically Hip played to around 16,000 people back home in ...

The weather has been looking a little cloudy today but have no fear a solution to combat the dreary day is here. Romeo and Juliet is being performed at The Radio House (Radiohuset) and it's not just your average, run of the mill version of this classic play. 120 young people will be putting a new spin on this timeless story based on Shakespeare's classic tale of love, regret and ...

It looks like I'll be heading back to Prince Edward County, Ontario to visit my family. In fact, it is confirmed I'm leaving next week. I have plenty of time for vacations this summer as some colleagues and myself were given an unexpected, extended vacation. In other words we were let go until further notice.
So, I've decided to turn lemons into lemonade, make the best of it and head home. This ...

People sometimes ask me where they can dine in Denmark to experience a truly traditional Danish meal. My answer is usually McDonalds or Pizza Hut. Oh, that was just a joke of course but maybe not so much. There was a survey conducted here about a year ago where they asked school aged children what an authentic Danish meal consisted of. The most popular answer ended up being "pizza." I ...

"You've got a minute to rest, a second to pray," wise words indeed... Oh, excuse moi but I was just singing my new favourite song. As I mentioned before, Roskilde Festival is coming up soon, July 3rd to 6thto be exact. The delightful, dewonderful entertainer/jack of all trades Kylie Minogue is performing in Copenhagen tonight. Kylie has been a pop princess and household name over in Europe for over 20 years. American audiences might remember her for her 80's hit "locomotion."
Kylie has always appeared to be blessed in many ways with her successful career, charming personality & pretty looks. However, life is not always a bed of roses and Kylie unfortunately ...

I generally get mailers from different airlines advertising last minute flights to here, there and everywhere. We've been talking about getting away for a few days to Paris, London or the like. I'd like to visit somewhere new. I have not yet been to Athens or Prague yet - two destinations on the "to do list" before I kick the bucket, again not that I'm planning on doing that anytime ...

Until now, I've mainly mentioned the music only festivals happening in Denmark but there are other types as well, too many to mention. If you are lucky enough to be in Copenhagen this weekend and the weather gods keep blessing us as they have, then you won't want to miss the "Bæredygtig Festival," which roughly translated means "to bear fruit" or "long lasting."
The Butik Fisk (a used clothing boutique) is ...

Give a hoot and don't pollute because the owl's everywhere. That was a great anti-littering campaign if you can remember that. It's still ringing in my ears many years on. You see, as a kid we thought nothing of occasionally tossing trash out onto the streets or out of the car window for that matter. That ...

Today, my plan was to work and do not much else, but there is a royal wedding in the works. I wasn't even going to watch it, to be honest. It's the second marriage for the Danish Prince Joachim and the first marriage for the French Marie Cavalier. I didn't have much interest in watching it, because I didn't know much about this lovely lady Marie, but they are running a program on DR 1 ...
