Treasure Hunting in Copenhagen
Well, I hope everyone is geared up for an exciting weekend ahead. Mine will be, I hope. It'll be a nice mix of work and play. In fact, I'm planning on making this summer "fun, fun, fun until my family takes my Ford Ranger away."
That reminds me, I'm thinking that the red, rockin' ranger will definitely need a new muffler soon. My brother told me it's sounding louder. But I choose to ...
Kronborg Castle in Pieces
Happy holidays to everyone. I hope that this festive season has been treating you well. I have to admit, that I usually am a little torn at Christmas time. Perhaps, because I can't be two places at once and many of my family ...
Who Let the Dog Out?
I've been busy working like a "dog" lately, which more or less gave me the inspiration to write this blog - more on that later. Last night after a hard day's night, I popped in the 1stsegment of the Lord of the Rings CD which I watch every year at this time, come rain or shine. It doesn't matter if I'm here or in Canada. ...
A Night In…
As I reluctantly rolled the window blinds up and peered outside today, I couldn't help but notice the white stuff lying eerily still on the ground. I could see my breath as I pressed my nose against the window. "Please, say it isn't so?" I said to myself as I quickly rolled the blinds down opting for an out of sight, out of mind policy. I couldn't bring myself to ...
Life at the Roach Motel
Well, my vacation is just a buzzing by so I'm making a list and checking it twice. The list of which I speak is of people I have yet to see before I return to Copenhagen. I'll tell you now that this list is quite extensive and there's simply no excuse.
Usually I'm only over here for a couple of weeks, not a couple of months but I thought I'd take ...
Hats Galore
Excuse moi for not blogging as of late but the computer has been acting a little crazy, daisy. That combined with a bout of the flu hasn't made for a pleasant past few days. I try to eat right and wear a hat when I'm outside in the cold, but still manage to catch the latest flu fad. Better now, than when we're in Thailand, I say.
Since we are on ...
Happiness is a Passport
Yippee! The Canadian Embassy in Copenhagen must be the best, most efficient Embassy in the entire world! I am simply so thrilled today because I received my passport and all of my identification via registered mail. It's just a shock, in a positive way and I am singing their praises because it took them only one week to sign, seal and deliver it all unharmed to moi.
My husband had said ...
Turning Japanese in Copenhagen
The other night I watched the TV program "What not to wear" with Trinny and Susannah. If you do not know what I am talking about it is a makeover show based in the U.K. Every week the two fashion savvy women find a fashion victim and torture and torment her. (a.k.a. make her over.)
The victim this week was arguing that inexpensive jeans look just as good as the more high ...
After Christmas Shopping
I hope everyone had a nice holiday. Today is the last of it here. Many people go back to work tomorrow before the next holiday which is New Year's Eve, of course. The sales begin tomorrow, the 27th of December and not today like in some other countries. They run on until the 29th of February. Here are a few that start tomorrow, courtesy of Alt om København (Everything about Copenhagen.) Aok.dk has ...
