Copenhagen Songwriters Festival

Well, today I'll be giving you some information about an upcoming event in advance, not at the last minute as I usually do. Surprise, surprise wonders never cease. First off, I have to tell you that it's been kind of a strange day today.

I made an appointment with the hairdresser to change my hair colour, yet again. I asked her if she could start frying and dying my hair at ...

Free Concert at City Hall

There's nothing better than attending a free concert. Believe me, I know because last year I attended a Peter Frampton concert, free. This year I saw the Doobie Brothers gratis. This past Sunday I was hanging about in Waupoos land, and saw a local band, The Fade Kings  for free.

Now I'm just figuring out how to see the Temptations, on the house so to speak. Any ideas please forward them asap! ...

Down in the Dumps

Yesterday was a scorcher here across the pond. Gettin' my runnin' around done early was the plan, so I could live the afternoon, like a beach. First thing in the morning, I had a hankering for a tea and a bagel so I warmed up the old truckster and took a trip into the local town.

I thought because it was hot, all of the tourists would have been hanging outside ...

Copenhagen Cocktail at Hotel Skt. Petri

Is the weekend over, already? Well, birch slap me silly because I guess it is. Actually, it was pretty fun from where I'm standing from, as I made the most of it by heading up to the local "Marysburgh Pub," here in Waupoos. It's only a hop, skip and a jump from my mom's house. It was well worth the five minute walk, as it turned out to be a ...

Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix

I have to tell you that I'm starting to relish my summer, driving around in my Dad's old Ford Ranger, which I have affectionately deemed "The Truckster."

I guess I call it that because it reminds me of a scene in the movie Vacation, where Clark, played by Chevy Chase, pre-orders a car at a car lot, and when he arrives to pick it up the shady car salesman hands ...

The Copenhagen Carnival

I just found out that I have the entire month of July free and as far as I can see, I'll be spending most of it in Ontario. Next week, I'm going to Toronto to watch the Blue Jays play. No, I'm not driving the truck, but rather have chosen the ease and comfort of the train. Hmm...that's kind of what I miss about Copenhagen right now, riding about in ...

Dalai Lama in Copenhagen

Dalia Lama

Tibet's Dalai Lama will be landing in Denmark at the end of this month. He'll be giving lectures on the 30th and 31st of May. The speeches will be on "Mindfulness Based On Love And Compassion" and "Peace through inner Peace." How cool is that? These lectures seem like something I could really use right now, too bad I won't be there at that time...rats.

Instead, ...

Run with the Royals

I was just reading an inspirational, Forrest Gump type story about a woman who ran around the world for cancer. She lost her husband last year to prostate cancer. This inspired her to circle the earth raising funds for the deadly disease.

As I mentioned earlier, our family recently lost our father to cancer, pancreatic cancer to be specific. We chose to take care of him at home, which was a heart ...

Jude Law at Kronborg Castle

I just read some interesting news in one of the national newspapers here. I can't remember which one sorry, so I can't give credit where credit is due, but one of the most popular actors in the world today, Jude Law is coming to Helsingor.

You probably will recognize this Oscar nominated actor from such films as the Talented Mr. Ripley, Alfie and Closer. He will be playing the title role in ...
