Men Hate Women

I love to watch free movies. I watched two in blurry bits and pieces last weekend over there on YouTube. One was "The Secret Window" and the other legendary film being "The Shawshank Redemption." Both were worth the watch, but it would have been much more enjoyable viewing them on the big screen. The Secret Window was so good that I even watched most of it with the volume turned ...

Copenhagen Songwriters Festival

Well, today I'll be giving you some information about an upcoming event in advance, not at the last minute as I usually do. Surprise, surprise wonders never cease. First off, I have to tell you that it's been kind of a strange day today.

I made an appointment with the hairdresser to change my hair colour, yet again. I asked her if she could start frying and dying my hair at ...

Free Concert at City Hall

There's nothing better than attending a free concert. Believe me, I know because last year I attended a Peter Frampton concert, free. This year I saw the Doobie Brothers gratis. This past Sunday I was hanging about in Waupoos land, and saw a local band, The Fade Kings  for free.

Now I'm just figuring out how to see the Temptations, on the house so to speak. Any ideas please forward them asap! ...

Doobie Brothers Live

Now, although today's blog about the Doobie Brothers has little to do with Copenhagen at the moment, I still feel compelled to write about them, just in case they come to Denmark in the future. Maybe I feel inspired to sing their praises because of that mood altering word "expectations." You know, when you're not expecting exciting things to happen, and then the good times suddenly crawl out of the ...

Steve Piticco in Denmark

Before it slips my sieve of a mind, I must mention that Denmark will once again be blessed with the presence of world-renowned guitar picker, Steve Piticco. Steve, who was originally from Toronto and now resides in south-eastern Ontario, happens to be one fantastic guitar player. He has won myriads of awards, but more than that, he's a kind, generous and caring person. Can you tell I'm a huge fan?

You ...

Get a Tremolo Beer Gut

Have you ever wished for, but never received a beer gut? Hmm..probably not, but you might be interested in the beer gut of which I speak. If you are in Copenhagen tonight and looking for quality entertainment at a quality price, why not check out the surf band known as "Tremolo Beer Gut."

They will be performing on the house, yes that's free of charge, at the rock bar "Drone" on ...

Hopping on a Bumpy Road

Easter weekend has come and gone, which meant another birthday, not a milestone or anything like that. It just means another year has been filed away and a new year awaits full of changes, challenges and hopefully new endeavours. Yes, happy birthday to moi, bonne fete a toi, Idag er det min fødselsdag etc.

Could have been much worse I guess. Imagine a birthday gal who is in the process of ...

Artarena and a Bleeding Nose

I spent the weekend at the hospital for doing something foolish. The highlight of it all was eating a hospital breakfast so that tells you something. I'm not quite sure why they serve peanut butter with no bread or crackers to put it on but oh well, they make up for it with the efficient and friendly staff. I got my walking orders quite quickly, thank goodness and so now I'm just ...

AC/DC Shook Us All Morning Long

Well, that's a bit of an exaggeration but there is some truth to this story. Here in Denmark we awoke to an earthquake, this morning. It's true. Glasses in the cupboards were clambering and bicycles leaning against the wall outside of our building were shaking, rattling and rolling.

I was sitting at the computer when it all happened at around 6:20 a.m. I've never really experienced anything like that before, but ...

The Martians Have Landed

Well, I just returned home after a visit to the dentist's office for a cleaning and check-up. I often think that it's strange that they talk so much while they are attending to my teeth. Lord knows, I can't answer! I can only say huh, yes, okay or something else inaudible along those lines. The only point where I can talk is when they hand me the astronomical bill for ...
