Who Let the Dog Out?
I've been busy working like a "dog" lately, which more or less gave me the inspiration to write this blog - more on that later. Last night after a hard day's night, I popped in the 1stsegment of the Lord of the Rings CD which I watch every year at this time, come rain or shine. It doesn't matter if I'm here or in Canada. It's just a tradition, I guess. I started to watch it last night until the sword fight scene where Aragorn takes on 5 Nazgul and manages to defeat them. (It's realistic, it really is. I know Viggo does that sort of thing on a daily basis).
Anyhow, I turned it off after that because I had a sore back from work. I thought I'd sleep on the floor to try to work the kinks out. I'm not sure if it worked but I am sure of one thing and that is, that I didn't sleep a wink. I woke up late this morning to a pile of dishes and clutter as far as the eye could see. I vacuumed, took a quick shower, gathered up the garbage and grabbed a letter I had for my parents. I then headed for the mailbox outside, in flip flops, wet hair and mismatched sweatshirt and track pants just to complete the just rolled out of bed look.
Enclosed with the letter to my parents, I attached a photo of the kids I work with. They are so sweet so I just had to share the love. The holiday card I sent them, shown above, was painted by a man from the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists Association, here in Denmark. These artists have no use of their arms so they paint with their mouth or feet.
Speaking of which, on the way back from mailing my parents their letter, a fellow walking his dog, looked at me like I was from Mars. His dog must have gotten the same negative vibe because it tried to attack me, viciously! There was salivating from the mouth, gnarly teeth and the whole nine yards. Geez, I saw my life flash before my eyes and my dismembered body parts shred from one end of the parking lot to the other. Thank goodness this wild beast was on a leash, otherwise who knows....
Anyhow, back to the point, if you are interested in seeing the amazing artist's work of which I speak or perhaps would like to order some of their lovely cards then visit their website http://www.mfk.dk/
