Life at the Roach Motel

Well, my vacation is just a buzzing by so I'm making a list and checking it twice. The list of which I speak is of people I have yet to see before I return to Copenhagen. I'll tell you now that this list is quite extensive and there's simply no excuse.

Usually I'm only over here for a couple of weeks, not a couple of months but I thought I'd take advantage of my job layoff. The good news is that I will be returning to the job of which I speak in a limited capacity and they'd like me to start remotely over here which I don't mind.

My parents out in Waupoos don't have an Internet connection and there are no towers in close proximately to use a mobile phone so I'll be doing all this work from my brother's house in nearby Belleville. My brother lives right next to a busy road in the heart of the city. His tenant has cats and they came over for a visit last night. They are sweet but get a little hyper for my taste.

I can also smell something foul in my brother's closet and didn't want the same gift left in my area. I even closed the door in my quarters but they managed to break in. They were crawling around in my bags filled with newly purchased clothes. That's when I managed to yell, "Get out bandits!" I felt kind of bad the next day when I was told that the one cat had ran away from home for 3 hours. I think they found him in a tree and not as road kill so it's all alright.

So, I woke up this morning in the usual fog and checked my e-mail. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a shadow and a furry tail. I thought it was these cats again and was shocked to see it was a squirrel. Did I scream or what. Later, I saw it outside on the top of a shed so it found its way outside, thank goodness. Then I went to change my clothes and found a creepy crawly bug in my new pants. More screams ensued. I won't be surprised if I see a bear or even a python next.

So now to tie this little story of shopping and squirrels in with the topic of this blog, yes? If you're in Copenhagen this weekend and looking to do a little shopping visit the Danish Fashion Outlet where you'll find up to 90% off of designer clothing such as Gucci, Diane Von Furstenberg, Quiksilver and more.
