Rock, Rock, Rock your Boat
I am just finishing up packing for my trip back to Prince Edward County, Ontario. Seems to me I'm missing the boat with regards to some exciting musical experiences because I scheduled my trip so awkwardly.
For the first, I heard that the Canadian loved Tragically Hip played to around 16,000 people back home in nearby Belleville, Ontario on Saturday night. This event was so sold out in the blink of an eye, you can't imagine as this was a huge deal to have such a legendary act perform there. The Tragically Hip are as Canadian as apple pie. No wait, the saying is American as apple pie. Well, you get my drift.
Anyhow, I've missed that and now I'll be missing Neil Young and Nashville's own pride and joy the Kings of Leon among others at this year's Roskilde Festival. Maybe I should have said The Kings of Leon are as American as apple pie. Tickets are still available for this event which happens the 3rd to the 6th of July but the warm up starts already on the 29th of June.
As for me, I'll hopefully be partaking in more relaxing activities like breaking out my dad's rowboat and taking her for a spin around Smith's Bay. I'm a little concerned because the last time I tried to rev this speed machine up, I found a family of snakes living underneath of it. We'll see how it goes this year. There might be holes in this luxury yacht as well, but I guess that's what life jackets are made for.
