Belly Dancing at Ankara
The other night I attended a little party in Copenhagen with some co-workers. It was a little awkward for reasons I will not get into here but we all made the best of it. I'll just put it this way, I've decided that if one is not driving his or her own vehicle and just cruising along as a passenger, then one can't be shocked or disappointed by unforeseen events, so I expected as much. I guess that made no sense at all, so enough of the riddles and more to the point.
We decided on a top notch restaurant called Ankara Tyrkisk Restaurant. The first of this chain of Tyrkish restaurants opened 14 years ago in Denmark. I would highly recommend this lively restaurant because of the friendly service, delicious food, cosy atmosphere, reasonable prices and weekend entertainment. Whew that's a lot. By entertainment I mean belly dancers who dress the part and perform to Tyrkish music between the hours of 20:00 and 21:00 p.m.
The menu is diverse with kebabs, beef, chicken, salads, rice etc. If you would like to sample a little bit of everything then why not dive into their large buffet. This delightful smorgasbord is available at lunchtime starting from 11:00 a.m or 13:00 p.m.(on Sunday & holidays) until 16:00 p.m. and costs 49 Dkr. At dinnertime between 16:00 and 23:00 pm. it costs 70 Dkr. Don't forget to top the night off with a banana split, pancake or an Irish coffee.
